GUERNSEY athletes delivered great performances at Austria IronMan 70.3.

ALAN ROWE took his first step towards his goal of claiming a third age-group world duathlon title by qualifying for the GB team at the Big Cow Emberton Duathlon, near Milton Keynes.

IAN SCHOLES saved his best for last, winning the final event of the De Putron Winter Duathlon Series and finishing ahead of Alan Rowe for the first time.

FUN was had by all at a competitive afternoon at Beau Sejour on Sunday 21 December when the Guernsey Triathlon Club held its Christmas Aquathlon event.

A FANTASTIC sprint finish, bumper entry and a potential diamond of a new course at Delancey made for a very satisfying first race in the GIAAC’s 2008 OSA Recruitment Winter Cross-country League.
