GUERNSEY bowls’ new formula for the format of future Commonwealth Games has been accepted.

SCOT Steven Allan ended a disappointed Gary Pitschou’s dream of a world title in South Wales yesterday.

GARY PITSCHOU has qualified for the final of the WIBC world indoor bowls men’s singles championship, for the second time in five years.

ALTHOUGH last night’s clash between Guernsey’s Gary Pitschou and Scottish bowls champion Iain McLean at the Islwyn club in Pontllanfraith, Gwent, was of academic interest only, it was still a battle worth watching, with bragging rights attached.

THE team matches were lost, but Guernsey bowlers had the satisfaction of dominating the Channel Islands indoor championships at Grainville.
