GUERNSEY POST lost £900,000 last year and more jobs will have to be cut to make savings in the coming months.

MAILINGS of CDs and DVDs from the island are 25% down this year and the decline is likely to continue, the Bulk Mailers Association said yesterday.

THE introduction of competition in the Jersey bulk mailing market has only served to highlight the need for Guernsey to be competitive for such businesses, according to the Office of Utility Regulation.

BULK-MAIL charges are set to soar from August. Increases could be as much as 70% for some products and providers, but the Office of Utility Regulation has defended them.
