CARL HESTER and his horse Uthopia produced a brilliant performance in Rotterdam yesterday to help Great Britain win team gold at the European Championships.

IN SPORT the Channel Islands punch above their weight, although personally I have done my best to bring that level down. Sark can boast good runners and shooters, but Carl Hester’s achievement at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky eclipsed all as he led the Great Britain team to a silver medal in the dressage.
