THERE was some rare local glory as Stuart Le Noury won the annual Church to Church Walk in impressive fashion.

MICHAEL GEORGE and Marie Jackson were the stars of the day as they finished in first place in the men’s and women’s Church to Church walks on Sunday.

FIFTY years ago Mick Le Sauvage was talked into doing the Church to Church Walk and he will be back on the same starting line at the South Esplanade tomorrow for his 48th start in the biggest walking race in the CI calendar.

JAYNE LE NOURY was the fastest woman in Sunday’s Church to Church Walk for the first time in more than 31 years.

WHILE his younger brother was tackling the boards at the world indoor championships, Lee Garland was making an impressive debut over 20 miles in winning the GIAAC’s annual Church to Church.
