BY RIGHTS yours truly should be in Delhi now rickshaw-ing my way between arenas to keep abreast of how Guernsey’s best ever Commonwealth Games team is faring.

AFTER a week of uncertainty, Guernsey athletes will finally arrive in Delhi today to compete for honours at the Commonwealth Games.

ANYONE who has put heart and soul into preparation for exams, a charity event, a speech, a wedding or, indeed, anything of importance in their lives, has to feel for the sportsmen and women and officials due to leave for New Delhi any day now.

THE Guernsey Commonwealth Games Association is confident that Delhi will be ready for next year’s Games.
