NORTHERN bowler Don Batiste, who, as the island’s 2007 champion, has been representing Guernsey in the World Bowls Champion of Champions singles tournament in Aberdeen, completed his group campaign yesterday.

GUERNSEY’S 2007 men’s champion Don Batiste is experiencing how tough life can be on the world stage, but is thoroughly enjoying taking part in the World Champion of Champions tournament in Aberdeen’s famous Westburn Park.

JUST a week after his excellent performance in the British Isles Champion-ships, Don Batiste lost his grip on the Bowls Guernsey men’s singles title.

A GREY, wet and windy day in mid Wales was brightened yesterday by the performance of Guernsey veteran Don Batiste.

DON BATISTE is hoping that it will be third time lucky as he makes another attempt to become a British champion.
