FAMILIES swarmed around face painters, bouncy castles, and a magician at the Friquet Garden Centre open day as part of the opening of Floral Guernsey’s Spring Festival.

ST MARTIN’S has walked away with two top awards at this year’s Floral Guernsey Community awards. The parish was named as overall winner at an awards ceremony on Saturday at Beau Sejour. It also retained its title for best douzaine room.
