LT-GOVERNOR Air Marshal Peter Walker had the chance to witness a rescue from on board the marine ambulance yesterday.

A GROUP of French sailors had to be rescued yesterday after their yacht was dismasted en route from Guernsey to Sark.

SARK’S traditional sea service was held on Sunday morning and – I think for the first time, although someone will no doubt correct me if I’m wrong – there was the welcome sight of both the St Peter Port lifeboat and the marine ambulance, Flying Christine, moored alongside each other in Creux Harbour.

ACTION taken by Boatworks+ prevented the Flying Christine III sinking in the harbour and saved its insurer a hefty bill, it has been claimed.
