POLICE have defended their reaction to a domestic incident that saw the whole of Les Genats Estate turned into a no-go area.

CLOSE neighbours of the Les Genats house at the centre of yesterday’s standoff watched as officers fearing for the safety of a mother and child surrounded the area.

LES GENATS Estate was locked down for around six hours yesterday as armed police officers attended a domestic dispute that endangered a mother and child.

POLICE are investigating claims that children on Les Genats Estate are guilty of animal cruelty.
