Aircraft registry to be created

Guernsey Airport PLANS to create an aircraft registry passed in the States this afternoon.

Commerce and Employment has predicted it could generate £18m. in additional economic benefit in the first three years.

But there was some opposition to keeping the option open of working with Jersey on the initiative.

The department’s amendment to do so won through by 29 votes to 13.
