Can I pay cash on Golden Gate Bridge?
All Golden Gate Bridge tolls are collected electronically and cash is no longer collected at the Bridge toll booths. Motorists can still use cash to pay their Bridge toll. Note: Cash payments cannot be processed online or over the phone and paying in person is required regardless of the payment option.
How much is the Golden Gate Bridge toll?
For two-axle vehicles, tolls will increase from $7.70 to $8.05 for FastTrak users. For pay-as-you-go drivers — a toll option that uses a license plate account to charge drivers — the fees will increase from $8.40 to $8.60. For other drivers crossing the bridge, the fees will increase from $8.70 to $9.05 per trip.
Are there toll takers on the Golden Gate Bridge?
We no longer have human toll takers on the Golden Gate Bridge — the process is fully automated. If you have FasTrak you save a dollar on your toll. If not, they automatically take a photo of your license plate and send you a bill for the toll.
What happens if I don’t pay Golden Gate Bridge toll?
A: An unpaid Toll Invoice or any unpaid portion of a Toll Invoice will result in a Toll Violation notice which attaches a $25 penalty for each toll transaction associated with the unpaid invoice. If the first violation notice goes unpaid, a second violation notice will be issued, with increased penalties.
Do you have to pay to drive on the Golden Gate Bridge?
Although Golden Gate Bridge tolls are collected electronically, motorists can still use cash to pay their Bridge toll. Motorists can make a One-Time Payment at a Cash Payment Location. Please be sure to have the license plate number handy when making your payment. Cash is also an option when using FasTrak.
